Overseas help fundraising

“Overseas Help” is a fund-raising campaign jointly conducted by the Japanese Red Cross Society with NHK every year to help people suffering from disasters, conflicts, hunger and illness.
In the Great East Japan Earthquake, warm support was received from more than 160 countries and regions.
It’s hard to feel when you’re in Japan, but there are many people around the world who are in a difficult situation.
Conflicts in Syria and Afghanistan, children dying without a single vaccine, people starving to death, trafficking to overcome hunger and poverty, etc., are not uncommon in the world.
It may not be an exaggeration to say that Japan is the lucky few percent of the world to have a healthy birth and compulsory education.
It may be small for each person to do, but when it comes to gathering a lot of good intentions, it seems that you can feel warm even in a difficult world.
