I went to Manila for a tour

I went to visit the Philippines of ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) for 3 days from July 5th.

The Philippines (Capital Manila) is an island country with a famous resort area called Cebu Island.
Over the last 10 years, the economic growth rate has been stable at around 5% or more.
The population has exceeded 100 million and the population is increasing.

New President Rodrigo Duterte took office on June 30 and is drawing attention.
Many Japanese are studying abroad in the Philippines to learn English.

I arrived in Manila in about 4 hours from Narita Airport.
The climate of the Philippines is summer from March to May and rainy from June to November.

Manila International Terminal ①.
Terminal ③ is currently under construction.

The ASEAN countries have a large population of young people in the developing world, and are expected to grow as infrastructure development progresses. The same is true for the Philippines.

It is a highway construction site that leads to the elimination of heavy traffic.

I drove on the completed highway, got out of the traffic jam, and felt the need for infrastructure development again.

It is a shared bus “Jeepney” in the Philippines.
Many of the jeepneys are characterized by being modified from small freight cars.
Vehicle owners decorate the exterior with their own flashy paint and car accessories for each car
They are competing, and it seems that no one vehicle is the same because of these characteristics.

Arrived in Makati city.

Makati is a city in Metro Manila, a business district in the Philippines with skyscrapers.

The city of Makati is full of cars and there is heavy traffic.

We also visited HSBC Philippines, an internationally active bank.

It took about an hour drive from Manila to reach the Laguna region.

It is the city hall of Laguna.
The president hurriedly made this day a holiday, and the city hall was also closed.

When you leave the capital Manila, you are still in the countryside, and it seems that you live in a place where the railroad tracks have been abandoned.

However, this area is rich in nature, and there are many hot spring resort facilities.
It is a popular area visited by people to spend their vacation with family and friends.

In the Philippines, most of the people in the city were young people.
This time as well, I felt the momentum of the ASEAN countries and was able to obtain a lot of information.
