| On November 29, 2023, E.Partners Co., Ltd. became a supporting member of the Kyoto University iPS Cell Research Foundation, a public interest incorporated foundation that is responsible for the world’s most cutting-edge research in future medicine and life science. |
The Kyoto University iPS Cell Research Foundation is a non-profit corporation established on September 6, 2019 to promote the promotion and application of iPS (induced pluripotent stem cell) research.
From the historic moment when Dr. Shinya Yamanaka of Kyoto University, who won the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 2012, created the world’s first mouse iPS cells, to this day, the research group including Dr. We have conducted innovative and cutting-edge research activities in a wide range of fields, from research to clinical applications.
The scope of its application is extremely wide-ranging, including medicine, regenerative medicine, and drug development, and I feel that the dissemination of these research results and their return to society will be a major challenge in the future.
To this end, we will spread understanding of iPS cell research, train the next generation of researchers and medical professionals, deepen collaboration between industry, government, and academia, and through these activities put research results into practical use and provide new value to society. I think it is very important to do so.
